Pokémon Legends: Arceus, an open-world action RPG, coming in January 2022, is perhaps most in line with what DokeV will be. I’d go as far as to say it looks like one of the most “alive” and vibrant worlds I’ve seen from an open-world gameplay trailer. Whatever your thoughts on its kid-orientated approach, its open-world is incredibly impressive. Credit: Pearl AbyssĭokeV has, without doubt, set a new graphical benchmark for the genre. However, anyone would struggle to argue that, technically speaking, it has improved in parallel with gaming hardware. Yes, improvements have been made to that trusty Pokémon formula over the years. But it has arguably fallen into the same formulaic rut that has trapped other long standing franchises like Call of Duty and FIFA. They have even described it as “a creature-collecting open world action-adventure”, which is pretty much Pokémon‘s whole schtick. The song you heard in the DokeV announcement trailer was “Rockstar,” a song made by real-world musicians as well as the development studio. Both the original version of the song and the remix can be downloaded from the DokeV website. In addition to the standard version of the song, there’s also a Rockstar remix. They’ve even included the lyrics, so you can sing along if you’d like. ![]() That said, Pearl Abyss has uploaded the song to YouTube for your listening pleasure. Rockstar is not currently available on Spotify or Apple Music, or any similar streaming services, but it could make its way in the future. It fits in perfectly with the reveal trailer and was one of the biggest takeaways following Gamescom Opening Night Live. It’s an upbeat, catchy tune that was made specifically for DokeV. The developers at Pearl Abyss also played around in the creation of the song. The song that plays during the DokeV trailer is called “Rockstar.” It’s performed by GALACTIKA and Luena. What song is playing in the DokeV trailer? On that last note, many walked away wondering what the song was that played during the DokeV trailer. The announcement trailer charmed viewers with cute visuals, interesting locations, and a catchy theme song. One of these games was DokeV, an open-world creature-collecting game similar in style to Pokemon.
